Kay Hutchins moved from the Midlands back to West Wales in 1997 to be closer to family. Having always loved art, this self-taught Carmarthenshire-based artist now works primarily in oil, pastel, and watercolour.
Inspired by the countryside and her coastal surroundings, she focuses mainly on animals and wildlife, although portraits and figurative subjects also form an important part of her work. She aims to bring light and emotion to every piece, whilst achieving realism in a painterly style.
