Aled Prichard-Jones
Aled Prichard-Jones was born in Bangor, Gwynedd in 1945. He studied architecture at Bath University, later moving to Pembrokeshire where he worked as an architect until he retired in 2000. This was when he took up painting full time, and moved back to live in North Wales, painting the scenery and mountains of Snowdonia. Aled’s work has been exhibited in many galleries throughout Wales, his paintings inspired by the beauty of North Wales. After previously painting primarily with pastels, Aled switched to oils some years ago, a medium that gives his paintings a more rugged texture and dramatic atmosphere.
