Wendy Murphy was born in Farnborough in Kent in 1956. She studied Graphic Design at Canterbury College of Art, and also gained a BA (Hons) in Illustration from Brighton Polytechnic. After moving to Gwynedd in Wales in 1990 she now lectures in Fine Art at Coleg Meirion Dwyfor and works as a professional painter. Wendy has been the recipient of many awards for her work, favouring an earthy palette and working mainly in oils.
