Born in Neath, South Wales, Susan moved to Brynamman on the foothills of the Black Mountains where she has lived for over 50 years. Her professional career has spanned illustration, designing for the Collectible market and teaching. Susan is inspired by the changing colour, light and mood of her surrounding landscape and its history. She works in all mediums on various high quality papers and canvas boards, often layering a range of textural materials and pastes to achieve an interesting creative surface onto which she paints in acrylics and acrylic inks.
